In computing phishing is an attempt to trick the user into giving  sensitive information to fraudsters such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details. Phishing works by sending you an email which looks like it has been sent from trustworthy company such as banks, auction sites, HMRC etc. By fooling you into thinking that you’re visiting your bank or another trustworthy website, the scam gets you to divulge personal or financial information, which is then used by fraudsters.
