Merseyside Computer Solutions have decided to share some useful keyboard shortcuts that you can use when typing up documents. Keyboard shortcuts can be used for most tasks preventing the need for us to take our hand from the keyboard.

1) Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V – When you have highlighted text in a document or file you can press Ctrl + C to copy this text. In addition to this you can use Ctrl + v to paste the copied text into your intended destination.

2) Ctrl + S – While you are working on a document you can simply press Ctrl + S to save your current document. It is advised that you get into the habit of using this method, so if your computer loses power or you accidently close your document you won’t lose all your work.

3) Ctrl + F – A very useful keyboard shortcut that opens up a find window, allowing you to type in the text you want to find. It will then search the document or file for the text you entered.

4) Ctrl + P – This keyboard shortcut will print the page you are currently looking at whether it’s a document in Microsoft Word or a page on the Internet.

5) Ctrl + Z – allows you to undo any changes you have just made.
